At BrainNurtureKids Neuropsychology, our mission is to provide comprehensive evaluations for children and young adults. We aim to enhance understanding of cognitive functions and their effects on learning and daily life. We specialize in Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Giftedness, Learning Disorders, Mood disorders, Infant Neurodevelopment, and Neurodevelopmental profiles associated with Congenital Heart Disease.

Dr. Lucchese-Lobato is the founder of BrainNurtureKids PLLC. She is a highly trained Pediatric Neuropsychologist with extensive expertise in child development, bilingualism, neuropsychological evaluation, and family-centered care. Her academic journey and professional experiences span top U.S. universities, hospitals, and international research centers, reflecting her deep commitment to advancing children’s health, development, and well-being. Dr. Lucchese-Lobato is licensed in California, Florida, Massachusetts and New York, and provides care and consultation in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Dr. Lucchese-Lobato began her studies in Developmental Psychology at Duke University, where she also earned certificates in Early Childhood Education and Public Health Policy. She went on to complete a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Biopsychology at New York University (NYU), followed by an APA-accredited PhD degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Massachusetts Boston.
During her clinical PhD degree, she completed two externships at Brown University’s Bradley Pediatric Psychiatric Hospital, one externship at Brookside Community Health Center/Brigham and Women's Hospital, and one externship at UCLA Semel Institute.
She earned her APA-accredited internship from the University of Miami’s Mailman Center for Child Development, and a two-year Bilingual Pediatric Neuropsychology Postdoctoral Fellowship from Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
During her master's training years, she worked with research teams at NYU Steinhardt and NYU Child Study Center and Columbia University on early childhood development, bilingualism, and socioemotional development. Her doctoral research was conducted at Boston Children’s Hospital and other community centers in Boston.
In 2016, Dr. Lucchese-Lobato founded the Baby Brain Institute in Porto Alegre, Brazil, a multidisciplinary clinic dedicated to the early evaluation and treatment of infants (0–3 years). Following the COVID-19 pandemic, this initiative was transformed into a clinical research laboratory—NeuroCardio Baby, housed within Santo Antônio Children’s Hospital/Irmandade Santa Casa de Misericórdia. The laboratory focuses on the neurodevelopment of infants with congenital heart disease and continues to serve families through research and clinical innovation.
Since 2017, Dr. Lucchese-Lobato has been a Professor at Instituto de Cardiologia, Fundação Universitária de Cardiologia do Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil). She mentors Master’s and Doctoral level students from a wide range of health disciplines within the Health Sciences Graduate Program, helping shape the next generation of clinicians and researchers in Southern Brazil. She also frequently serves in undergraduate honor's thesis committees, defense committees within the graduate program, and as a peer reviewer for various scientific journals.
Dr. Lucchese-Lobato is Part-Time Faculty at University of Miami, and serves as a clinical supervisor of PhD students at the PSC clinic.
